Who drives Big Cat ? Captain Kevin "K.C" Carpenter has been involved in the fishing industry professionally since the early seventies (over thirty years now). Working on commercial fishing vessels from Exmouth Gulf in North Western Australia, around the Southern Bight, through Victoria, NSW and up to Tropical Cairns in North Eastern Australia. Realizing that there was a need for descent tackle stores that actually knew what they were talking about, Kev opened his tackle outlet "K.C's Custom Fishing Tackle" on the water front at Manly Harbour in Brisbane where people could come to learn about new techniques and equipment that were available. Kev still owns Fishaholics, which is a free fishing information website see http://www.fishaholics.com.au Spending more and more time chasing Game fish and other offshore species, Kev attained his Game / Charter boat license and is a Certified I.G.F.A.Captain. Kev sold his Tackle outlet to free up his time, so he can spend more time doing what he loves....Fishing. Kev upgraded his marine qualifications and is currently a Master Class 5 and has a MED 3 certificate on Marine Engines. These qualifications permit him to operate an eighty foot passenger vessel up to 200 nautical miles off the Australian coast, which is more than adequate for Big Cat's requirements. Even our deckhands have qualifications that allow them to drive most charter boats. So you see we have the best available experienced crew on hand to make sure you enjoy your day on the water with Big Cat Charters.
